Tao Bible - Deuteronomy 17:12

And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the LORD thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
~ King James version ~

Tao appoints no person to judge another.
~ possible Taoist alternative ~
Moses declares that anyone brought before the priests must obey their commands or else they will be put to death.

Laws, judges and courts are created by humankind, not the cosmos. Tao deals with all impartially. If we want to follow the model of Tao, we too would treat all impartially.

Where desire reigns, justice does not.
