Tao Bible - Exodus 4:2-3

And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.
~ King James version ~

Tao is not a magician.
~ possible Taoist alternative ~
Moses, worried that people will think he's off his nut if he tells them he has spoken directly to God, is provided with a sign by the almighty. Defying physics, God will make a rod turn into a snake.

The laws of the universe are Tao. While we sometimes encounter aspects of life that we don't understand with current knowledge, a walking staff is not going to turn instantaneously into a living creature. Tao has no need for magic other than the mystical essence of life itself!

  1. he ate some off food or a plant and either way ingested a hallucinogen - a bush seemed to be on fire, a stick turned into a snake and he spoke to god - kids do this daily as they reach the age of experimentation.
