Tao Bible - Genesis 7:4

For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
~ King James version ~

Heaven and Earth are impartial.
~ possible Taoist alternative ~
From the standpoint of Christianity, God creates and destroys. He brings life or reigns down death. He rewards with blessings or punishes with suffering.

From the standpoint of philosophical Taoism, the underlying mystery is impartial. It has no will nor emotions. It can neither reward nor punish. It is not an it.

The mystery is the definition, laws and processes of life. Sometimes we perceive life as being good and sometimes we perceive it as being bad. Tao is neither.
