Tao Book Giveaway - August

The book offered to be given away on or around August 1 is The Tao of Inner Peace by Diane Dreher. If you read any of the posts from my series on the Tao Te Ching late last summer, you probably remember that I quoted from this book frequently.

Here's what Amazon.com has to say about the book:

Translated more often than any other book except the Bible, the Tao Te Ching has been a spiritual guide for centuries, helping millions find peace within themselves, with each other, and with the natural world around them. Written in workbook style, complete with exercises, questionnaires, journal-keeping techniques, and affirmations, The Tao of Inner Peace translates the ancient Eastern philosophy into a plan for contemporary Western living. Diane Dreher, Ph.D., shows the way to:
  • Bring greater joy, fulfillment, and creativity to daily life
  • Heal the body and spirit
  • Build self-acceptance and self-esteem
  • Resolve conflict
  • Reverse negative cycles of emotion
  • Understand life as a process of changes and challenges
With its lively, demystifying approach, The Tao of Inner Peace shows how the Tao can be a powerful source of growth, inspiration, and peace.

"A simple and comprehensive vision of personal and planetary peace . . . Dreher's examples work as meditations as well as road maps."--Minneapolis Star Tribune

About the Author
Diane Dreher, Ph.D., is the author of
The Tao of Personal Leadership and The Tao of Womanhood. She holds credentials in counseling and holistic health and conducts workshops on meditation and inner peace in the San Francisco Bay area.
As with the previous two month's giveaways, here's how it works: Anyone interested in this book of the month needs to contact me in one of two ways: a) You can note your interest in the Comments section of this post OR b) You can send me an email. If you choose the first option and I don't have your email address on file, you will need to check this blog around August 1 to find out if you are the "winner". You will have until August 10 to tell me your mailing address. If for some reason I haven't obtained the "winner's" address by then, I will contact the alternate name[s] drawn.

So, if this looks like a free book you would be interested in, enter your name anytime during the month of July and, maybe come August 1 (or so), the book will come hurtling your way.
