I don't know if you've noticed, but as we've wended our way through the Wen Tzu, it's becoming very obvious that this Lao Tzu dude is some kind of subversive!! In verse after verse, he writes incessantly about concepts like peace, virtue, mindfulness, and justice.
When we get right down to it, it's of little import what type of political ideology or government structure a nation embraces; if justice is lacking, then there will be serious problems. In this same vein, it doesn't matter what ideology or religion each of us holds as individuals; if we do not act judiciously towards others, we will have serious problems.

Lao Tzu is my kind of guy. The more socially subversive the better in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot of truth in the saying, "No Justice, No Peace. Know Justice, Know Peace."
If only the rest of the world would evolve enough to comprehend the concept.
