Wen Tzu - Verse 119, Part I

from Verse One Hundred Nineteen
So for those who can emulate Nature, the sky does not have just one season, the earth does not have just one material, and people do not have just one task. That is why there are many kinds of work and many types of pursuits.
~ Wen-tzu: Understanding the Mysteries ~
There are people out there who will tell you that you need to be this way or that way in the manner in which you comport yourself in life. Stray from the model they provide you and they will say you've lost your way.

But just as the seasons are different or a sunny day differs from a thunderstorm, we each must wear different hats and cast different faces throughout our lives. This is another way of saying that both yin and yang are needed to live fully.

If we choose to focus solely on one form of energy and to eschew the other, then we can't achieve harmony and balance.

  2. None of us is "equal" to another.
    All are unique and different.
The laws of man deny this natural truth.
The natural laws contravene the laws of man.
We may choose be natural, or to reduce ourselves to being merely human.
We may choose the easy path, or the path that completes us, and all that we are part of.
