Wednesday's Weather Report

We're getting ready here for Round #2. Initially, this storm was supposed to be a little less fierce than the last one, but now they say it will be worse! The entire western half of Washington is under a flood warning and we may get above 5" of rain in the next 24-36 hours (that's on top of the 4 -5 inches of the past 2 days). In the mountains, the forecast is for upwards of 3 feet of new snow.

Tomorrow afternoon looks to be dicey, at best. Besides the copious amount of rain, the forecast calls for sustained winds of around 50 mph and gusts of 90 mph and higher. Them is hurricane force gusts!

Of course, sometimes the weather forecasters cry Wolf! and nothing much comes of it. On the flip side, we've been blindsided by some really bad storms. So, we'll have to wait and see if the current prediction pans out. All I know right now is that the wind is howling and torrents of rain are falling.

  1. Yet my wife wants me to move out to Washington! This isn't a motivator.
