A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.Both passages point to the utter divisiveness of disputes. When we get so caught up in our own ego-driven desires, this leads to conflict with our fellow brothers and sisters.

The best way to deal with bitter quarrels is not to get into them in the first place!
