Tao Bible - Psalm 58:10

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
~ King James version ~

If a man is bad, do not abandon him.
~ from Tao Te Ching, Verse 62 ~
The writer states that the good folk will rejoice in God's punishment of the bad folk and the righteous will celebrate the defeat by taking the possessions of the vanquished.

We each face trials and tribulations in this life. No one is completely good or bad, righteous or unrighteous, loving or hateful. If all things originate from one source -- everything is connected -- then, when we rejoice at the defeat of others, we actually are rejoicing at our own defeat as well.
