As I have stated several times before throughout this series, Tao is available and part of everything. Tao is not interested in who does or does not worship the Way. Like the air, Tao can be breathed by each person and what we do with each breath decides what kind of person we shall be.

ReplyDeleteWouldn't you say that it isn't "Tao destroys no one" but more that "Tao doesn't demand anything from anyone"? Or that it doesn't deal out punishments for wrong beliefs or anything else?
Your commentary makes sense, but your "possible taoist alternative" doesn't.
