Tao Bible - Judges 10:16

And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.
~ King James version ~

Tao grieves for no one.
~ possible Taoist alternative ~
Oppressed by foreign invaders, the Israelites repent of their wicked ways and, in doing so, Yahweh feels compassion for their current plight.

Tao is desireless, emotionless and impartial. Tao neither rejoices in human successes nor grieves for human tragedy. We feel such emotions solely because we are not desireless and impartial.
