Too often, I worry that some people may misunderstand Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu's insistence on living the simple life. As this passage underscores, simplicity should NOT be equated solely with passivity and a disengagement from social life.

The master knows it is not his job to do anything to the world.
He says he thinks it is perfect already.
