Rocky and Bullwinkle

Rocky and Bullwinkle probably represent my all-time favorite cartoon! It was smart, hip and savvy. It also had two tracks of humor: one for the kids and one for the adults. Unlike most of my classmates, I generally "got" both tracks; another reason I was congenitally out-of-step with my peers.

Another interesting tidbit. Most of my classmates identified with Rocket J. Squirrel. He was the smart one who tended to "save the day". I, of course, identified with Bullwinkle J. Moose, the dim-witted and clumsy one. He always seemed to be mucking everything up in a sweet sort of way. That's generally how I felt (sometimes still feel) around my age group.

You could DRAW on the TV screen!

And my first major crush was on Ollie, of Kukla Fran and Ollie (difinietly one of the funniest things ever on TV.

Ollie I think was the precursor to Maynard G. Krebs.

    TV is such a yin/yang thing...I love it , I hate it.
