Rooted in the Boundless

Rooted in the Boundless
by Scott Bradley

Someone came to his friend No-One and said, “I am Someone, yet I am ever hungry and never full. You are No-One, ever empty, yet always full. How can these things be?”

No-One answered, “Were a tree to tire of the valley forest, uproot and seek the heights, would it not soon wither and die? All things are rooted in the boundless, why uproot yourself with identity? He who is someone has something to lose. He who has nothing possesses all things.
