Better Than Breakfast Cereal

One of the first things I do each morning is to check my email and the first email I check is the Taoist Daily Quote from The TaoWoods Center. As many of you know, I often utilize the daily quote as the jumping off point for blog entries. However, even when I don't share it here, I reflect on it for a few minutes and contemplate the message throughout the day.

If you'd like to get in on this free service, you can sign up here.

To give you a taste of what you might receive in your in box, here are the last 4 daily quotes I've received.
August 4 - "Games" Most people live their lives as if they were games with a win or lose perspective. The sage can also live life as a game, but with only the goal of seeing what will happen next.

August 5 - "Happiness" How can we live so that the seeds of happiness are watered everyday? The sage understands that we do this by allowing ourselves to be at peace anywhere, and being content with what we have.

August 6 - "Creating" Most people create and seek possession of their creations, working expecting to receive credit. When the sage's efforts are done, they are forgotten allowing them to last forever.

August 7 - "Govern" Whether you are governing a family, an organization or a nation; the sage knows that it is wise to restrict the lives of others only when necessary if peace is to be maintained.

  1. This is a great free service! It's the first thing I check every morning and is a great way to start the day. That - and your blog.
